Express Entry is the current selection system for the Canadian immigration. It is structured to choose skilled workers/ professionals for an immigration to Canada. The selection process in Express Entry is completely an online process. This involves the federal and the provincial governments, and Canadian employers.
Express Entry determines the eligible Candidates for the Canadian Immigration through the Comprehensive Ranking System ranks. Following are the components to identify the qualifying applicant: Core human capital factors Common-law partner o Accompanying spouse Skills transferability Provincial nomination, a qualifying job offer in Canada, Study experience in Canada, a sibling in Canada, and/or French language ability.
Under the Comprehensive Ranking System, a total of 1200 points are available. For the applicant who is single without a common-law partner or spouse, there are: Up to 500 points for the factors of core human capital Up to 100 points for the factors of skill transferability An additional of up to 600 points are available for the following aspects Provincial Nomination Job offer of Canadian employer Additional points for Study experience in Canada Blood relative/ sibling in Canada French language ability
For the applicant who is having a common-law partner or accompanying spouse, there are: Up to 460 points for the factors of core human capital of the primary candidate, Up to 40 points for the factors of core human capital of the common-law partner or spouse, Up to 100 points for the factors of skill transferability, The candidate will have 60 days of time to complete the Express Entry profile, from the day he starts. Once the profile is complete, the candidate will enter into the Express Entry pool of Candidates.
Invitation to Apply (ITA) Immigration, Refugees and Citizenships Canada (IRCC) through Express Entry selection system offers Invitation to Apply the Canadian Immigration Visa/ PR Visa for the selected candidates. The candidates are selected on the basis of a minimum cut of score decided by the Government of Canada. The selected candidates should have to submit all the supporting documents within 90 days of ITA.
Federal Skilled Trade Class - Canada (FSTC) On the basis of an immigrant’s aptness to become economically established upon the immigration, Canada assesses Federal Skilled Trades Class Applications. As per the norms of Canadian Immigration, from January 1, 2015, qualifying applicants for the Federal Skilled Trades Class (earlier known as Federal Skilled Trades Program) have to file an expression of Interest in immigration to Canada through Express Entry Program itself.
